Advanced Texas Personal Protection Officer (PPO) Level IV Training – Course Description
The Advanced Texas Personal Protection Officer (PPO) Level IV Training (24 Hours) builds on the state-mandated Level IV curriculum and is designed for commissioned officers seeking advanced skills in executive/dignitary protection. This program goes beyond the basic PPO licensing requirements, providing enhanced training in protective detail operations, advanced firearms proficiency, tactical driving concepts, and high-risk protective strategies.
Students will train in both classroom and practical field environments to strengthen their ability to operate effectively as part of a professional protective services team.
Course Highlights (24 Hours):

Advanced Executive Protection: Planning and executing client protection missions in corporate, private, and public environments.

Protective Detail Operations: Advance work, site surveys, route planning, and team coordination.

Close Protection Drills: Escort formations, cover and evacuation drills, and hands-on protective movement.

Advanced Firearms Training: Dynamic shooting exercises, stress-fire drills, and advanced qualification with duty handgun.

Tactical Driving Concepts: Defensive and evasive driving awareness (classroom and practical discussion).

Threat Assessment & Risk Mitigation: Identifying and managing threats, surveillance detection, and contingency planning.

Professional Ethics & Confidentiality: Maintaining discretion, client trust, and operational integrity.
Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old.

Must hold a valid Texas Commissioned Security Officer License (Level III) and PPO Level IV Certificate.

Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License or State ID.

Must provide a duty handgun (9mm or .38 caliber minimum), 150 rounds of ammunition, and safety gear (eye and ear protection).

Students should be physically able to participate in defensive movement drills and protective detail exercises.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the 24-hour Advanced PPO Training, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from Texas Elite Academy. This advanced credential demonstrates additional training in executive/dignitary protection beyond state minimum requirements and enhances employability with private security firms, corporate executive protection teams, and high-profile client assignments.
